Artist HJ Hofstra
Henk Hofstra is a public place artist of sculptures and sprayed paint, a painter and art designer who lives and works in Drachten, a town in the north of The Netherlands. He was born in the fifties. After highschool he studied at the Art Academy’s Artibus in the town Utrecht and at Minerva in Groningen, where he graduated and post-graduated. Hofstra works for many years now as an artist and graphic designer.
In the eighties Hofstra had his first solo-exhibitions in several gallery’s in The Netherlands and abroad. He had exhibitions in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerpen (Belgium) and Dordtmund (Germany). In the late eighties he was invited for an exhibition at Hofstra University, New York (USA). Henk Hofstra also has his own gallery in his hometown Drachten with exhibitions of his paintings.
